From City Manager, Jordan Yutzy

“With no response from the governor the City is making the assumption that she is satisfied with our plans outlined to her to reopen the City. Starting Monday May 4th the City will reopen the following places;

  • City Hall—We will reopen the lobby for water bill payments and other City business.
  • Library—Will reopen with a maximum of five (5) customers allowed in at a single time.
  • Youth Center—Will reopen with a maximum of 25% of the occupancy.
  • Activity Center—Will reopen with a maximum of 12 people allowed per hour starting at 5 pm. Members will be required to make appointments and each appointment will last for 45 minutes giving staff time to clean the equipment between appointment times. No basketball, racquet ball or anyone under the age of 18 will be allowed in the Activity Center right now.
  • Golf Course—Will reopen to non-members during normal business hours. There will only be three (3) customers allowed in the Pro-Shop at one time.

If businesses in town wish to reopen the city will not shut them down unless they are violating the plan laid out in the resolution sent to the governor. If business need a copy of the resolution a copy is available on the website or from City Hall. Even with the reopening we ask that everyone please still social distance themselves in order to control the possible spread and allow us to reopen even more.”
